About Polar Star Press
A long time ago, one of our Disciples founders, Barton Warren Stone said that he believed in unity so much that it had become his "polar star." The ideal of the unity of persons of faith was the guiding factor of his life.
Today we honor his memory and his vision by publishing books, articles, web-based materials, audio programs and a journal under the bright northern light of Polar Star Press. At Disciples of Christ Historical Society, we envision the unity of faithful persons as the goal we are all striving toward. And through our Press we hope to inspire others with that same vision held by Christ and all his disciples... and Disciples.
Disciples of Christ Historical Society has been publishing material since 1941. In 2005 we established Polar Star Press as our publishing imprint. Included among our many publications are:
